Asahina ranks alongside Uji in Kyoto and Yame in Fukuoka as a home of fine gyokuro, carefully grown in misty valleys.
Expect an elegant, clean sweetness and a long finish. A wonderful gift for someone special.
How to brew (for two)
- Put 8 g of leaves into a small teapot.
- Let the water cool well, to 50–60°C.
- Add 60 ml of water and wait patiently for about 2 minutes.
- Pour small amounts and let the concentrated umami roll over your tongue.
For the second infusion, raise the temperature slightly and pour after about 30 seconds.
